Incest is considered one of the most disgusting things in the world today. We considered gays and lesbians disgusting 40 years ago, and eventually it was excepted and made legal. Incest is one thing that will never be made legal.Sigmund Freud came up with a theory called the Oedipus Complex. This involved a child having feelings for their parent of the opposite sex. Freud got the name from the myth about a Greek hero, who unknowingly killed his father and married his mother. Freud used the term to describe the unconscious feelings that a child has towards their parents.I, and probably most people, cannot see or understand how you could be attracted to your own flesh and blood, whether it be your sibling, parent or child. It is wrong. A step-parent or step-brother/sister, then perhaps that wouldn't be so bad, because they're not related in anyway, by blood at least. But to have a relationship with someone who is in your immediate family? It is an old crime, dating back to Henry VIII, and it is still considered as wrong and disgusting today as it was then.
